Our on-site flow meter calibration service utilises mobile flow rigs capable of testing a wide range of flow meters.
The flow calibration rig uses two Calibrated reference Coriolis meters, calibrated by ABB in a ISO17025 accredited facility. These meters are used as a direct reference to compare the test meter against.
The rig uses a recirculation method of calibration. The desired flowrate(s) will be inputted into the control panel the pump will then be set, by way of a VFD, to match this flowrate after the flow has stabilized the test will start. The pulse output is fed back to the control panel where after the run time has been reached with compare the ref and indicated flowrate and produce an error figure.

The mobile flow calibration rig employs a single Emerson CMF200 Coriolis meter as its master reference, calibrated in an ISO 17025-accredited facility to guarantee full traceability. Operating on a closed-loop recirculation principle, the rig precisely controls flow via a variable-speed pump, stabilising conditions before initiating each test.
Alternatively, it can be connected directly into the process line for in-situ calibrations, bypassing the pump entirely and using the site’s own process flow as the test medium. The customer meter’s output signal (pulse, frequency, or 4–20 mA) is captured and directly compared against the reference meter over the defined run interval. Upon completion, point-by-point error is quantified and reported in a formal calibration certificate or survey report.
