Stream Measurement marks commitment to sustainability

We’re proud to announce the launch of our first annual Carbon Report which provides a transparent overview of our carbon footprint and sets out clear reduction targets to support global climate action.

Recognising the critical role of accurate data in environmental decision-making, we embarked on our carbon measurement journey in 2023, and have set ambitious net zero targets aligned with climate science and the United Nations’ goal of limiting global warming to no more than +1.5°C.

Jack Gatensby, Net Zero & Sustainability Advisor at Stream Measurement, said: “Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond the services we provide. By measuring and reporting our own emissions, we are taking accountability for our environmental impact and setting a clear path toward net zero.”

The Stream Measurement Carbon Report 2023 is our baseline report and key markers include:
•    Total carbon emissions: 75.02 tonnes CO₂e, with a break down by Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
•    Emission reduction targets: Aiming for a 50% reduction by 2030 and a 90% reduction by 2050.
•    Carbon reduction strategies: Initiatives include improving data accuracy, transitioning to renewable energy, promoting sustainable travel, and enhancing energy efficiency.
•    Commitment to transparency: The report follows the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and provides a detailed methodology for emissions calculations.

The report serves as a foundation for future carbon reduction efforts and reinforces our dedication to driving sustainability within the industry.
