Following successful commissioning of a large fleet of smart water meters for apartment developments near Canary Wharf, Stream have rolled out their latest Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) data solution to one of the largest New Appointment and Variation (NAV) companies. Stream's latest data dashboard provides our customers with the hidden potential of connected devices. Not only can this data be used for billing and predicting asset behaviour, our customers main benefit is leakage detection.
Stream's in-house software team have designed a bespoke data solution which involves hosting a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) server to collect meter readings from the SensusRF gateways on our client’s behalf over the 4G/LTE network.
Using a bespoke software package, these readings are seamlessly transformed from CSV files into a time-series database to allow advanced trending and analysis of individual properties on a web-based platform.
Our team have liaised with our customer to develop a truly tailored and hands-off system.
Our data is being used to identify leakage in the apartments, which results in reduced damage to the building and lower costs. The example shows an apartment consuming nearly 300m3 over 13 days. Approximately 3,600 bathtubs of wasted clean water.
This project demonstrates the power of data and digitalisation and how Stream are providing the flow meter, commissioning and data.
