Stream Measurement plays its part in the Cabot Circus

Date: 03.11.2008

Stream Measurement have been heavily involved in the supply of the water metering needs of the recently opened £500 million regeneration of the Broadmead district of Bristol: Cabot Circus.

Stream was engaged by the M&E contractor Hoare Lea in sizing and supplying the correct water meter needed for the retail outlets, the decision was to supply 140 piston meters of various sizes 15mm to 40mm with HRI Data transponder + Touch Read Pad. Stream have coordinated and supplied the individual shop fitters with the flow metering equipment as they have been tasked with purchasing directly the metering equipment. Bristol City Council will be responsible for data acquisition and will utilise the leading utility metering software DOKOM and the robust PSION organiser to read the meters with Stream supplying the training needs of the council on deployment. The meters are connected to a Touch Read System which will allow Bristol City Council to retrieve consumption data external to the outlet without disturbing the tenant.

Cabot Circus houses illustrious names such as Harvey Nichols, Kurt Geiger, and Brasserie Blanc to name but a few, the project has been 10 years in the making since planning was approved in 1998, Stream are very pleased to have provided a helping hand in securing accurate water measurement and consumption to this prestigious retail development in the heart of Bristol.
